Naked (Goat's Milk)

$8.50

Goat’s milk is naturally high in essential fatty acids which have a pH level that’s similar to humans. This means that it’s less irritating to our skin and is easily absorbed into our skin, hydrating and nourishing the new layers of skin that are forming underneath the top outermost layer of skin.

This bar is unscented.

Additionally, goat milk contains alpha-hydroxy acids such as lactic acid which help remove dead skin cells from your skin’s surface. This leaves new cells on the surface of your skin that are smoother and younger-looking. The alpha-hydroxy acids are so effective because they break down the bonds that hold the dead skin cells together. Removing dead skin cells will help many skin conditions by removing irritation. Water-based soaps may use harsh chemical acids to accomplish this, frequently with skin-damaging results.

Goat milk contains many vitamins but is particularly high in Vitamin A, which is necessary to repair damaged skin tissue and maintain healthy skin. There have been several medical studies showing that creams made with Vitamin A reduce lines and wrinkles, control acne, and provide some psoriasis relief. Water-based soaps can be artificially fortified with vitamins, but most aren’t.

The cream that is present in goat milk helps boost the moisturizing quality of goat milk soaps. Since many people suffer from dry skin, particularly in the winter months, this is an important quality for soap. Goat milk soap will not dry your skin out like many other soaps. This is important because keeping skin naturally moisturized helps keep skin healthy.

Goat milk contains important minerals for the skin such as selenium. Selenium is believed by scientists to have an important role in preventing skin cancer. Selenium can also help prevent damage to the skin from excessive time in the sun.

Ingredients: Saponified Olive oil pomace, Coconut oil, Palm oil (Sustainably sourced), Sweet almond oil, Cocoa butter, Goat’s milk, Distilled water, Sodium hydroxide (lye), Sodium lactate, Sugar, White kaolin clay.

COLD PROCESS
Each soap bar is made in small batches using the cold process method. Each bar is cured for at least 6 weeks to ensure a long lasting and mild soap. In the cold process method sodium hydroxide (lye) is used to turn oils into soap. When fats in the oils and the lye go through a process called saponification, there is no lye present in the final product.

INPUTS
Each bar is packed full of skin loving ingredients, including butters. We never use palm oil, which has been linked to massive deforestation, habitat degradation, climate change, and contributing to the loss of Orangutans and Sumatran tigers. Many traditional soaps use this ingredient. We believe in making the most ethical choices for our planet to keep Earth and those we share it with healthy.

USE
Our soaps are intended to be used on your body and hands. Handmade soap will not leave your skin feeling dry or itchy after a shower. You can either use the bar on a loofah or washcloth for about 10 seconds to get a rich creamy lather. Using this method will make your soap last longer.

CARING FOR YOUR SOAP
Be sure to keep your soap dry in between use. Make sure it sits in a dish that has proper drainage and is not directly under your shower stream. Due the nature of the soap, allowing it to sit in water will lesson it’s life.
